Why a Subject with Margin Can Decide Later
At 19:30 Monday, Gu Ning faced three candidates: release G2's two formal slots immediately, wait for bounded node checks and release in segments, or stop V2 and return the first-payment balance. All three were describable from current records and preserved different later choices.
Waiting can bring information about M7 quantity, C1 state, and E4 progress, reducing reliance on guesses. It also consumes Tuesday preparation time and makes Wednesday's window harder to meet. Waiting is neither inherently prudent nor the absence of action.
The station can consider waiting because a current balance of fourteen, three uncommitted slots, and stage exit terms provide short-term bearing conditions. If cash were at a boundary requiring immediate use or the window closed tonight, the available choices under the same information gap would differ.
This chapter continues Chengwan's fictional schedule. Its waiting deadlines, inspection times, and execution results are not recommendations for real business timing.
What Constitutes the Capacity to Wait?
First is liquidity. During waiting, the eight protected units remain available for their uses, the two conditional first-payment units need not be reallocated before adjudication, and the original four units are not forced into action.
Second is scheduling margin. Beyond G2's two candidate slots, one remains uncommitted, so a brief check does not immediately consume every recovery position. Third, the relationship permits waiting: the stage rules require separate release for formal work, and the client did not demand unconditional commencement upon payment.
Fourth, information can plausibly arrive within the window. M7, C1, and version index can be checked internally; actual release from E4 requires Wednesday's process. Whether the station can and should wait depends on all of these.
Waiting Can Be Expensive Without Margin
Suppose the protected eight must be paid tomorrow morning and the only inflow depends on starting G2 tonight. Waiting overnight may cross the cash line. Or suppose only one slot is available and checking consumes it, directly removing implementation.
These hypothetical comparisons do not enter Chengwan's mainline. They show that “wait for more information” is not an unconditional improvement. A subject must bear changes in money, time, and opportunity during waiting.
Nor do ample resources guarantee value. If no new material will arrive or it arrives after the decision point, waiting merely shrinks the window. Information arrival must correspond to the time at which it can be used.
What Immediate Release Obtains
If G2's two slots are released Monday evening, the team can lock Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons early and convert the two conditional units into the formal budget, reducing the chance that another task takes those times.
The cost is that M7 quantity, C1's current state, and E4's process remain unchecked. Once resources are committed, later problems require pausing, rescheduling, or refund, making exit more costly than it is now.
Immediate release is not necessarily reckless. It may be reasonable when the window is short, additional checks add little, or resources reset easily. D17 has identified several necessary nodes, and early locking cannot make those gaps disappear.
Waiting Forever Does Not Preserve Every Choice
If the team waits until 14:00 Wednesday, receipt has begun and Tuesday preparation has passed. Resources remain unspent, but the V2 execution path has closed through time.
Unlimited waiting also leaves the first-payment balance conditional indefinitely, and neither party knows when settlement occurs. Waiting without an expiry accumulates relationship and management cost even if accounting expenditure remains zero.
Waiting must therefore state what is awaited, the latest time, and available actions at expiry. “Let's see” does not prove that choice is preserved.
Stopping Also Has Definite Consequences
Stopping G2 now returns the two-unit unexecuted first-payment balance, preserves G1's used slot, unit, and S-3 record, moves cash from fourteen to twelve, and leaves all three uncommitted slots available for other arrangements.
The station will not execute V2's Wednesday window, and this round's cooperation goal stops. The result may disappoint without entering the eight protected units or six existing commitments.
Stopping is an actual exit, not a negotiating threat. It bounds waiting: if critical conditions cannot be checked in time, the station knows how to exit instead of concealing the gap with continued input.
Split One Decision into Two Decision Points
G2 was estimated at two slots. Gu Ning separates its release: the Tuesday segment performs the first formal preparation, while the Wednesday segment performs subsequent checks and 14:00–16:00 receipt. Each remains capped at one slot and one unit.
The Tuesday segment is decided by 10:30 Tuesday after checking M7 identity and quantity, current C1 status, and version index. If they pass, one Tuesday-afternoon slot and one conditional unit are released; otherwise the stage pauses and reopens.
The Wednesday segment is decided by 11:00 Wednesday and additionally requires E4 to have completed and released Ye Cheng and C1. Completion of the first segment becomes input; it does not reserve the second automatically.
Why the Deadlines Are Asymmetric
M7, C1, and version information can be actively checked Tuesday morning and yield usable results by 10:30. Whether E4 actually extends into the afternoon can be known more strongly only as Wednesday's work unfolds.
Forcing both decisions Monday would substitute a plan for E4's actual release. Waiting for everything until Wednesday would lose Tuesday preparation. Different unknowns have different observable times; one deadline wastes one side.
Segmented deadlines let earlier material serve its action while leaving the condition that has not yet occurred for the later gate. They do not guarantee Wednesday completion, but reduce the need to lock every unknown at once.
Awaited Information Must Be Able to Change the Action
Insufficient M7 quantity prevents Tuesday release; unconfirmed C1 state reopens the procedure or stops; inconsistent version indexing pauses material use. Every check has a result that changes G2.
If the team starts regardless of result, waiting becomes ritual. Information has value only when action rules permit it to stop, modify, or release the next step.
Gu Ning records branches before checking so favorable material cannot be described as merely confirming an already settled decision and adverse material cannot be dismissed as irrelevant.
Waiting for Information Also Needs an Owner
“Wait for M7 and C1” without executors may end at the deadline with everyone assuming someone else checked. Gu Ning assigns M7 and C1 to Ye Cheng, the version entrance to Tang Ke, and synthesis before 10:30 to herself.
Each check leaves an original record and completion time. “It should be fine” does not count as material gained through waiting. If the owner does not finish in time, the result is not obtained rather than passed by default.
Waiting thus contains active information work even without a full half-day production slot. Actual checking time enters process records and cannot become zero labor merely because the goal is to wait.
The Deadline Needs a Default Exit
If critical checks remain incomplete at 10:30, the Tuesday segment is not released. Gu Ning may create a reduced new plan, but unresolved state cannot slide naturally into afternoon work.
The same applies at 11:00 Wednesday. Unless E4 has explicitly released Ye Cheng and C1, G2's second segment pauses. “Almost done” is not entry. Default exit protects earlier commitments and lets waiting end.
Default nonrelease is not permanent refusal. Late material can trigger a new judgment under changed remaining time, but cannot use expired authority to bypass conditions.
No Anomaly Found Does Not Prove Reliability
A Tuesday check showing C1 currently available supports the relevant action at that time; it does not prove Wednesday availability. Retrievable M7 quantity does not prove identical performance of every portion.
Gu Ning writes “no condition preventing the first segment found as of the check,” not “common-node risk eliminated.” This scope is why a Wednesday gate still exists.
A limited check can reasonably alter action without becoming a permanent guarantee. Requiring proof of every future state would prevent any beginning; extending current normality into future certainty misuses the material obtained by waiting.
Waiting Does Not Itself Increase Success Probability
Time may let information arrive, but it may also age resources, shrink windows, or change external conditions. Without mechanism and data, waiting one day cannot be said to raise G2's success probability.
The case waits to obtain named node states and only while they remain usable. Gu Ning assigns no higher success probability to “wait” than to “release immediately.”
A future probability comparison would define action conditions and outcomes separately. Here, checkable relations justify waiting until 10:30.
Are Resources Occupied While Waiting?
From Monday evening to Tuesday's decision point, G2's two slots remain estimated and unreserved. If another suitable task takes one, G2 capacity changes and must reopen on the new fact.
That is a real opportunity cost. Guaranteeing the slots would require a reservation action, deadline, and cancellation rule. The station cannot call resources free while expecting everyone to preserve them for V2.
The case stipulates that no other task takes them before 10:30 Tuesday. That result is saved at Tuesday's check and is not backdated into a claim that Monday's waiting had no opportunity risk.
How Queue Order Changes Options
The six existing jobs were committed before V2, and E4 takes priority in conflict. Receipt of a first payment cannot move G2 to the front, nor can potential future income create earlier rights.
Queues can change through agreement with the relevant object, early completion, or new constraints. None exists now, so the priority holds.
Bounded waiting accepts this order. It makes G2's Wednesday segment wait for actual E4 release rather than making E4 bear V2's uncertainty.
Liquidity Makes Stopping Executable
Stopping requires returning the two-unit conditional balance. Those two remain inside the fourteen, so the exit can be executed the same day.
If spent elsewhere, the total might still exceed eight while refund requires using the station's original capacity. That changes the consequence of stopping and makes waiting depend on past reallocation.
Liquidity here is not abstract possession of money. It is actual availability of the required resource at the time of payment or exit. The margin ledger makes that capacity reviewable.
Window Value Changes over Time
Monday evening still offers Tuesday preparation and Wednesday receipt. After Tuesday 10:30, full use of the afternoon slot begins to tighten. After Wednesday 11:00, if E4 has not released, little recovery time remains inside V2's window.
The same G2 plan is not identical at every time. Remaining steps, switching paths, and stopping costs change. Monday's feasibility judgment cannot continue indefinitely.
The time-resource table records remaining slots, conditional balance, unchecked nodes, latest action, and expiry consequence at each decision point, not calendar dates alone.
Choice Requires Executable Conditions
“Decide later” is often called preserving choice, but a future action without labor, money, authority, or the client's window is only a name on a list. Choice means a real path remains at the decision point.
Bounded waiting preserves the Tuesday segment because its decision precedes the afternoon slot, conditional funds remain, and executors can complete material checks. Preservation of the Wednesday segment depends on actual E4 release and window state and cannot be guaranteed Monday.
The table records options together with their supporting conditions. When support disappears, option state changes. Facts cannot be ignored merely to preserve a narrative of choice.
Waiting Is Reversible Only Within Limits
Before 10:00 Tuesday, nonrelease appears easy to alter because funds and slots remain returnable or reassessable. Yet elapsed time cannot return, and other tasks or the client may change arrangements.
Waiting is therefore not fully reversible. It reduces resource locking while consuming the window. Ending the wait returns the subject to a later state, not Monday's origin.
Gu Ning records elapsed time and remaining steps together so “we have not spent money” cannot mean “nothing has been lost.”
What Early and Late Decisions Each Surrender
Early release preserves candidate scheduling while bearing unchecked-node exposure. Late release uses more state information while risking the loss of full labor and the client's window. The exchange concerns choices, not personalities labeled cautious or decisive.
Stopping removes future resource exposure and relinquishes this V2. Excluding stopping hides the recoverable value of exit; treating it only as resource-saving erases the new-commission goal.
Gu Ning places all three side by side with what they gain, lose, and when they expire. A reasoned choice does not require portraying the unchosen plan as foolish.
Information Obtained by Waiting Also Expires
Tuesday morning confirmation that C1 is presently available does not guarantee Wednesday. Verified M7 quantity does not rule out use differences. The longer the interval between information and action, the more transfer conditions matter.
The Tuesday C1 result supports first-segment entry and the Wednesday recheck plan only. The second segment still requires actual release after E4. One check does not stamp a node forever.
The version index remains retrievable while unchanged. Any client or internal checklist update invalidates the old check. Awaited material therefore has an applicability window.
Handling Late Information
If M7 results arrive Tuesday afternoon, the 10:30 decision point has expired. A favorable late result cannot be recorded as known at 10:30 to authorize the old plan.
The team may form another plan for the shorter remaining time or stop. Late material can have future value without entering a past choice.
This follows Part 1's event-window discipline: sufficient content and corresponding time both matter. The action page likewise forbids later information from flowing backward.
Waiting May Change the Client's Behavior
Because the station does not immediately confirm formal commencement, the client may make another arrangement or ask for progress. The stage rules explain separate release and reduce misunderstanding without removing all relationship consequences.
If the client changes the window during waiting, V2 reopens. The station cannot accuse the client of violating a schedule it had not unconditionally accepted or pretend waiting affects only internal state.
The case gives no new external message before Tuesday's decision. This supports using internal checks in the next action, not a general belief that clients always wait patiently.
Actual Checks on Tuesday Morning
At 08:40 Tuesday, Ye Cheng checks M7. The case record shows that identifiers and quantities needed for G2's first and possible second segments are retrievable. G1's S-3 evidence remains local and does not become a batch-wide guarantee.
At 09:10, C1's existing internal check page shows it can enter the planned use at that time; the state is valid only at the check and does not replace Wednesday review. Tang Ke confirms from originals that V2's checklist, stage reply, and window contain no version conflict.
At 09:40, E4 remains scheduled Wednesday morning without new delay material. It has not happened, so actual release of personnel and C1 for Wednesday remains unknown.
Passing Checks Does Not End All Waiting
The three Tuesday entrances support adjudication of Tuesday's segment. Actual E4 release can be known only Wednesday. Gu Ning neither cancels today's preparation to await the last condition nor treats a normal plan as a completed fact.
That is the purpose of segmented waiting: each piece of information governs its corresponding commitment. The Tuesday segment need not assume E4 completed, and the Wednesday segment gains no automatic authority because Tuesday started.
If the first segment forced continuation of the second after failure, the separation would be false. The terms allow Wednesday stopping and settlement of executed work, so choice remains.
The First Release at 10:00
At 10:00 Tuesday, Gu Ning checks the time-resource table. Two of the fourteen units remain conditional to V2; three slots are uncommitted; no new task has taken them. M7, current C1 state, and the version index satisfy first-segment conditions.
At 10:10, she releases G2's Tuesday segment: one afternoon half-day slot and one conditional unit, executed by Ye Cheng. Reaching the ceiling, version change, or material mismatch triggers pause. Wednesday remains unreleased.
The release uses none of the four other unallocated units and does not reserve the recovery slot. One conditional unit becomes committed and enters expenditure only when actually used that afternoon.
Afternoon Execution Changes Resource State
At 13:30 Tuesday, Ye Cheng begins G2's first segment. Material identity matches the morning check, and Tang Ke preserves the version entrance. By 16:30, the planned segment is complete within one slot and one unit and produces a process record for Wednesday.
“Complete” describes the first segment only, not the entire checklist or V2 delivery. It adds no new S-3 result and cannot combine with G1 as two independent validations.
After actual spending, cash moves from fourteen to thirteen: eight protected, four originally unallocated, and one V2 conditional unit. Labor becomes six existing committed, one G1 used, one G2 first-segment used, and two uncommitted.
The Wednesday Segment Still Has a Stopping Exit
Of two uncommitted slots, one is the Wednesday G2 candidate and one must remain outside V2 if it continues. The candidate is not reserved; Wednesday reopens if resource state changes.
If E4 does not release Ye Cheng and C1 by 11:00, the second segment does not start. The station retains Tuesday's executed cost and reopens the window and remaining payment under stage rules without invading existing work.
Prior input does not lower Wednesday's gate. The capacity to wait includes being able to stop after one unit has been spent instead of letting that spending force the next step.
Waiting as an Active Realization of Temporal Margin
RC treats temporal margin for trial and error as an operating condition of sustainable decision-making. Waiting is not an absence of observation or action. The subject refrains from locking a high-commitment path so an unobserved node state can still alter the next step.
This openness is real only with explicit deadlines, occupation, and default actions. Unlimited waiting consumes deadlines and attention invisibly; premature commitment closes other possibilities. The time-resource table organizes waiting as a bounded prospective arrangement and makes sequential flexibility executable.
The D17 Time-Resource Table
At 16:40 Tuesday, Gu Ning saves the table. Monday 19:20: fourteen units, three uncommitted slots, with immediate release, bounded waiting, and stopping available. Tuesday 10:00: node checks support the first segment, releasing one slot and one unit.
Tuesday 16:30: first segment complete, balance thirteen, two slots uncommitted. The Wednesday segment remains a candidate for one slot and one unit, decided Wednesday at 11:00. Entry requires E4 release of Ye Cheng and C1, unchanged version and material state, and unchanged eight-unit protection.
On passing, release the second segment while preserving one recovery slot. On failure, pause G2 and handle the one-unit conditional balance and client window. The three-unit final payment remains unreceived and enters no decision-point balance.
What the Waiting Plan Obtained
Bounded waiting let the station check M7, current C1 state, and the version before committing the first segment without missing Tuesday afternoon. It did not remove Wednesday's E4 connection, so it released only a commensurate segment.
Waiting costs include opportunity exposure before the decision, check time, and a shorter remaining window. No other job took the slot in this case, but that means the path did not occur, not that its cost was zero.
Current material supports the plan without proving immediate release wrong. An unexecuted plan has no actual outcome, and smooth checking cannot prove waiting always superior after the fact.
How Part II Connects to Environmental Change
Part II began with one clarifying message, made the minimum action answer its question, then staged confirmation, sampling, and formal arrangement. The margin ledger, exposure map, and joint table constrained releases, and the time-resource table finally brought waiting into action.
The tools did not eliminate uncertainty. G1 passing, M7 being retrievable, and C1 being currently usable are material at limited times. Wednesday can still differ. Sustainable action preserves the capacity to receive the difference and stop or reopen.
One slot and one conditional unit have entered G2's first segment. The next step is no longer a paper plan. Reality's feedback will test whether G1's local relation extends to a new time and position of use.
Handing Off to Judgment About Change at 16:40 Tuesday
As of 16:40 Tuesday, V2 is incomplete, Wednesday receipt has not occurred, and E4 awaits execution the next morning. G2's second segment is unreleased; no final payment has arrived; the four originally unallocated units remain unused.
The station can wait because money, labor, stage terms, and deadlines jointly provide choice. It cannot wait indefinitely because Tuesday preparation and Wednesday receipt expire. The capacity to wait is a time-bound resource relation, not a personality trait.
The next chapter introduces an observation inconsistent with G1. The team must distinguish a single deviation, a recording or execution problem, and a changed condition. The earlier pass cannot erase new material, and one nonconforming result cannot by itself announce that the environment has shifted.
