How to Use This Appendix

The appendix serves for returning to the main text to check; it provides no institutional scorecard detached from conditions. Meeting a name, first find the object this book treats with it; meeting a judgment, then find its required materials and scope. Similarity of concepts does not prove similarity of real processes, and a list of questions cannot replace investigation.

The book's argument divides into the RC starting point, the bridging conditions of the economic domain, and the inferences within the thought experiment. Whether a real arrangement satisfies these conditions requires separate records, clauses, resources, and materials of action. Tingqiao only helps identify connections; it does not carry empirical validation.

The RC Starting Point and Its Use in This Book

Secondary construction: Certainty is generated within observational convergence. This book accordingly explains that the common unit, qualification, and rights have conditions of continuing acceptance and actual support. Construction is not arbitrary fabrication; a change of ideas cannot cancel every material constraint.

Lin He holds a production chain that may yield recovery, but she cannot treat this chain as bridge-yuan already obtained today.

Liang Xu is willing to provide a temporary sum of funds. It is kept separate from the equipment's residual participation of the previous chapter, with recovery claimed on its own horizon. Lin He can procure in advance, the materials merchant receives a balance, and the workers begin as agreed. This financing within fictional Tingqiao is private resources supporting the workshop under concrete terms; it does not automatically amount to the account house of Chapter 6 having approved new money, nor does it mean the holders of the common balance have borne all the project's risk.

What Single Thing Can the Equipment Guarantee

The previous round of temporary funds has been settled under revised arrangements, and Liang Xu is willing to discuss subsequent credit, but he wishes to add equipment collateral. He says that with equipment in place, recovery will be more reliable. Lin He asks whether he believes the equipment makes the order certain to be completed, or whether he is agreeing that when the order's recovery falls short, the equipment can support his claim. The two interpretations differ, and the single word "reliable" cannot stand in for both.

This is the negotiation of a new clause within fictional Tingqiao, not a new right Liang Xu automatically acquires on the strength of his old contribution. The workshop's equipment already has arrangements for use and residual participation, and whether it can enter a new collateral arrangement requires checking existing rights and the relevant people. This chapter does not adopt real collateral law, liquidation rules, or enforcement procedures; all paths of claims are explicitly set within the thought experiment and are not directly extrapolated to real transactions.

Lin He says her cost cannot be ignored; the buyer says he can wait and need not use this workshop; Liang Xu says future income must make credit recoverable. All three reasons can enter judgment, yet none of them can alone cover the whole.

After the Tingqiao workshop had accumulated several rounds of fulfillment records, a new applicant arrived. His name is Chen Zhou, a fictional character introduced in this chapter. He hopes to borrow a stretch of equipment time to complete a repair job of limited scope; to this end he brings a sample of his own making, the buyer's confirmation of the specifications, and an account of where the materials came from. He does not have continuously kept settlement records like those of Lin He's workshop, nor a long-standing cooperative relationship already endorsed by Liang Xu.

Chen Zhou does not ask everyone to believe him at once. When Xu Wen asks whether the sample was made by him, he is willing to redo a section of it on the spot; when Lin He asks how the tools are used, he is willing to submit to an inspection before use; when Liang Xu asks when the buyer will pay, he produces the conditions already confirmed and admits there may still be waiting. The difficulty arises after these answers: the application form stipulates that whoever uses this stretch of equipment time must also provide an already endorsed record of continuous fulfillment.

Chapter 14: How Certification Travels across Entry Points

One Record Reaches Three Entry Points

Chen Zhou completes the agreed segment under the limited arrangement of the previous chapter. Xu Wen records the specification the sample corresponds to, the equipment used, the materials provided, and the responsibility for observation. The record also states that this is not a guarantee of long-term delivery or of full recovery of funds.

This result is a new step in the Tingqiao thought experiment, not an actual survey. Chen Zhou then hopes to apply for an equipment slot for a formal task, arrange the continuation of materials, and obtain further confirmation from the buyer. All three entry points require examination, yet none observes everything from scratch. The equipment provider sees that Lin He has already verified the operations; the funder sees that equipment time is being arranged; the buyer sees that funding arrangements have begun.

Chapter 15: Claims to Returns and Actual Bearing

We observe along arrangements the workshop has already made explicit: the equipment investment participates in the residual under a defined metric, the temporary material credit is kept separate from it, and labor pay, maintenance, and transport each have their own support. A Summary That Closes Smoothly

Xu Wen compiles, for the workshop, an account of a job that has already been settled. Delivery has been confirmed, the buyer's payment has arrived, the confirmed pay and material claims are completed, and the agreed residual has been verified. The summary reads: work finished, main claims cleared, ready to enter the next round.

This result is a limited completion real within the setting of Tingqiao, and it need not be denied for the sake of discussing attrition. Lin He and Liang Xu need to know whether the project was executed; the workers need to preserve the state of having received pay; the buyer needs to know delivery is confirmed. An accurate ending can prevent old claims from reviving endlessly.

Chapter 17: Expansion and Leverage

Can the Next Round Do a Little More

Xu Wen has already returned unfinished maintenance and unconfirmed transport support to the next round's arrangements. Lin He has not understood the clearing of the main claims as the restoration of all conditions. Just then the workshop receives a proposal to expand its tasks: the buyer wants to add work, the materials provider is willing to discuss a larger supply, and Liang Xu is also willing to look at a new resource plan.

This remains the Tingqiao thought experiment. Willingness to discuss does not equal the confirmation of orders, materials, and funds, and Liang Xu's earlier residual participation in the equipment will not automatically turn into fixed repayment because of a new proposal. We begin from an expansion still awaiting verification, to see how different conditions continue, without pre-declaring that expansion will certainly succeed or certainly fail.

Chapter 18: Dependence and the Cost of Exit

Xu Wen says Tingqiao has no rule requiring Chen Zhou to stay with the workshop; he may choose other cooperation. This sentence states an important condition: one cannot declare, on the strength of an existing cooperation alone, that someone's whole future belongs here. But Chen Zhou asks: after leaving, where does equipment time come from, how are existing records used, and what sustains his livelihood while he waits for the next income?

Chapter 19: The Real Coordination Contribution of Concentration

If Everyone Started Over Tomorrow

Part Three showed that concentrated entry points may enlarge advantages, may make bearing and deciding fall out of alignment, and may leave exit with only a nominal path. So someone in Tingqiao proposed dispersing the workshop's shared equipment, records, and date arrangements, letting each person judge independently, in the hope that difficulties might disappear.

Lin He did not answer at once. She asked everyone to imagine a comparison: the next piece of limited work still needs to be completed, with the same materials, tools, and buyer specifications, but no one will any longer check operating periods, transport dates, and payment waiting against one another in a single place. Each position proposes its own plan and then seeks connections on its own.

Chapter 2: Exchange Cannot Be Completed at the Same Time

The Second Hull Plank Has No Second Bag of Grain on Hand

After the first exchange was completed, Zhou Cen discovered that another place also needed repair. Lin He had the capacity to make a second hull plank, but Zhou Cen hoped the grain could wait until after the next harvest. He was not saying the plank was unimportant; he was saying that the grain he could deliver right now was already constrained by seed retention and living needs. The uses of the objects exchanged met each other; the moments of delivery no longer did.

This chapter continues to use the fictional Tingqiao. Zhou Cen proposed taking the plank first and delivering the grain afterward under explicit conditions. Lin He did not refuse at once, because once the ferry was restored it could help her carry timber from the other bank. The two of them saw an arrangement that had not previously entered direct exchange: one side's delivery is completed today, letting the future complete the other side's delivery. It may enable both sides to act more; it may also let one side obtain the object while the other obtains only waiting.

Chapter 20: Shared Reserves and Maintenance

The previous chapter confirmed that shared equipment, record interfaces, and date coordination have identifiable coordination contributions. These functions require continuous support. The proposal has not automatically become everyone's obligation. This chapter examines the conditions under which the arrangement could hold; it does not write public wishes into resources already in hand.

This proposal likewise requires support; it is not formed merely by writing one more line that welcomes opinions.

Below we first set out a comparison: how an entry point that only collects opinions and does not continue to handle them would operate. These scenarios do not imply that the previous chapter's common proposal has been implemented.

Chen Zhou tries to raise a concrete problem: a trial record has been written elsewhere as broadly qualified, and the original limited scope was not preserved. He wants the receiver to correct it. Xu Wen replies that the opinion has been received. Chen Zhou asks who will verify it, when it will be handled, and whether the old record continues to be used for new tasks. The entry point has no answer.

Chapter 22: Decision and Bearing Reconnected

The One Who Moves the Date Earlier

Lin He examines a new delivery request. The buyer hopes to obtain the output earlier; Liang Xu is willing to look into whether this helps the income continue; the workers and the transporter need to verify the actual arrangements. The request has not yet become a new commitment, and this chapter does not write it as a task the workshop has accepted.

Suppose Lin He directly confirms the earlier date and then asks the workers to adjust their work, Shen Tang to adjust transport, and the maintainer to move the inspection window aside. Lin He's decision needs only one sentence, while the other positions must supply a series of added support. Even if delivery ultimately goes smoothly, one must still ask where that support came from.

Chapter 23: Accumulation and Distribution

What Does the Kept Portion Belong To

The Tingqiao workshop is still discussing a new scope of tasks, and has not automatically accepted the earlier-delivery request on the strength of the previous chapter's responsibility arrangements. To examine distribution, this chapter returns to the verification of one result with a settled scope, and treats the subsequent uses of resources as a new discussion, completing no agreement on the characters' behalf that has not been confirmed.

Xu Wen separates the income that has arrived, the items already confirmed, and the support still awaiting execution. Lin He wishes to keep a stretch for the continuation of equipment; Liang Xu verifies residual participation according to the original conditions of the equipment investment; the workers care whether the agreed remuneration is executed accurately. Someone proposes dividing everything that remains; someone else proposes keeping it all for the next round.

Chapter 24: Pausing, Switching, and Ending

Not Hurrying to Write the Next Item as Already Begun

The workshop's new task is still under verification. The earlier-delivery request is unconfirmed, and the proposals for common support and an evaluation entry point have not obtained all resources merely through words. This is the starting point of the final chapter. It does not let all the characters suddenly resolve every difficulty, nor turn the last chapter into an institutional template guaranteed to succeed. We continue the thought experiment, examining how to pause additions when conditions have not yet formed, how to switch when conditions change, and how to end when a limited arrangement completes or loses its support.

Chapter 3: The Authority of Joint Records

Returning to the deferral negotiation of Chapter 2: Lin He and Zhou Cen asked Xu Wen to preserve their agreement. Xu Wen did not create this request—the delivery of the hull plank and the commitments of both sides had occurred first—what he did was keep the relevant content in a position where it could be seen again. The first sheet of paper recorded the subjects, the specification of the grain, the original date, and the part already completed; the revision was written on another sheet.

A few days later, Xu Wen gave the first sheet to the toolmaker who came to inquire. He thought the original date could still help the other judge, and forgot to provide the revision at the same time. The toolmaker therefore concluded that Zhou Cen was long overdue. Lin He said the two sides had already changed the agreement, but the toolmaker pointed at the paper and answered: "Is this not what you jointly confirmed?" A genuine record, detached from state and version, supported an inaccurate present judgment.

Chapter 4: How Payment Exceeds Acquaintances

Trusting Lin He, and Still Not Accepting That Paper

Still within the deferred performance of Chapter 2, after Xu Wen has put the grain-owed records in order, Lin He again proposes to the toolmaker exchanging her remaining claim on Zhou Cen for tools. The toolmaker acknowledges that the record is not forged, and that Lin He works earnestly, but he still does not want to accept it. He needs to obtain timber in the near term, and the timber holder may not be willing to wait for Zhou Cen's grain. Lin He's genuine claim is effective within the first relation; arriving at the second relation, it may not have an applicable use.

This chapter continues the fictional thought experiment of Tingqiao. The toolmaker's refusal does not mean he has concluded that Zhou Cen will necessarily default, nor that joint records have no function. It reveals a more concrete limit: a private claim can be verified, but the recipient must still find subsequent use on his own and bear the interval of performance. For transactions to go beyond acquaintances, what is needed is not that everyone knows everyone, but that strangers or the unfamiliar can continue to act on shared conditions.
